Simple Suspensions Save Money

Zip-a-Duct systems can be installed quickly in open or hard ceilings with our anodized aluminum or coated stainless steel suspension systems.

  • Adapts to any diameter
  • A seamless look
  • No special tools or equipment required

Single Cable Suspension (Type 01)

The Type 01 suspension is a cable suspension for Zip-a-Duct systems. The cable is PVC coated stainless steel or galvanized cable, making it an excellent choice for corrosive environments. The installation method involves stretching a horizontal cable that runs along the top of the duct at the 12 o’clock position. The horizontal cable is supported with intermediate vertical cable drops. The duct uses plastic sliders to hang it on the cable.

Rail Suspension (Type 08)

The rail suspension is a versatile system, excellent for complex and vertical installations. The H-Rail, so named because it looks like an H in the cross section, is made of anodized aluminum, making it an excellent choice for corrosive environments. The H-Rail is supported with intermediate vertical cable drops that lock into the top channel of the rail. The duct is then suspended from the rail at the 12 o’clock position using the RapidSlider which allows for easy installation into the rails and a seamless look for any diameter.

Double Rail Suspension (Type 11A)

The double rail suspension (Type 11A) is ideal for low ceilings. The T-rail, so named because it looks like a T in the cross section, is made of anodized aluminum, making it an excellent choice for corrosive environments. Two T-rails are fixed to a hard ceiling and the duct is then suspended from the rails. It is perfect for D-shaped ducts and is hung using the RapidSlider, which is easily pulled into place providing a seamless, uniform suspension with a clean look.
